-Played competitive ice hockey following high school in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) before playing at the collegiate level for Elmira College (from 2007 to 2011)

-While attending law school (from 2011 to 2014), he clerked for two Common Pleas Court Judges in Lucas County, Ohio and subsequently completed a clerkship with a judge for the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals in Toledo, Ohio

-Graduated and received Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law in Toledo, Ohio (in 2014)

-Participated in the U.S. Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) for four years through Elmira College as part of Cornell University’s ROTC program
